Why Do I Still Find New Issues?

by Sophie on February 13, 2011

I do energy work on myself nearly every day, because it’s my favorite thing in the world to be connected to the Divine, it’s become second nature and it makes my life a lot easier. So you can imagine how much energy work I have done on myself over the past 12 years!

And yet every so often I uncover a whole new aspect of myself or a new set of beliefs or a very significant past life that I knew nothing about. How is this possible?

I believe it happens because we only uncover what we can deal with at the time. So:

  1. when I grow in understanding, patience or courage
  2. when I learn a new tool
  3. when I reach a higher vibration

not only do I see things differently so that I can see an issue that was always there without my noticing but I also notice issues because now I can fix them! We are never given more than we can cope with. When we have the tools to cope with more, we uncover more and grow more.

That is why I am always learning and raising my vibration.

Sophie, this has been my experience with healing too. As we work our way through issues, they leave us stronger to deal with what comes next. The body and the mind both occasionally need breaks from working on issues. I do my best to follow my natural flow through life. Sometimes when I ignore that natural flow, then my body steps forward and does something that I can’t ignore—like my bout with pneumonia back in late November-early December. I wasn’t being told to slow down any more. The pnuemonia was telling me to stop that my body needed the rest.

I agree, the body and mind occasionally need breaks from working on issues and if we don’t listen to our inner rhythms, we take sick more easily. I always think of it as “being grounded” like a teenager. It also has the effect of making more grounded, more into my body. 🙂
