Equinox Week End

by Sophie on September 23, 2012

This Equinox week end is full of transformational opportunities. Read: it’s been challenging for many!

Friday was International Peace Day I believe. With all the hope and stirring that brings in all of us who are committed to a more peaceful world. Of course Peace starts at home. So re-committing to peace is bound to create personal growth. Read: can be challenging.

Friday was the Equinox. Point of balance. Energetic end of the summer even if the days are still warm. Starting a time of reflecting on last year’s achievements. Attempting to achieve balance with what is described above, well…can be challenging…

Friday was also a powerful Goddess/Divine Feminine day. If you are committed to embodying or welcoming the Divine Feminine in our every day life, this could have rattled your cage a little.

So if you had a challenging week end trying to grab all the growth opportunities while attempting to stay balanced: you were not alone in that endeavor! I did manage to stay balanced but that took A LOT of grounding, energy work and chakra balancing! A couple of hours’ worth!

If you managed to stay calm and centered while growing: well done!

Right on target, Sophie – I felt like I was being shaken, not stirred, this weekend. Lots of energies breaking loose, but I didn’t consciously pin it down until your post! Thanks for letting me know about this growth time, and my need to stay balanced.

Funny: I could see you in my mind’s eye as I was writing this post Dan. I knew you were feeling it and growing also this week end. Thank you for being my companion on this journey.

That’s pretty amazing, Sophie, but not surprising that you could visualize me while you were writing this. It’s happened so much that I could see it. Yes, growing this weekend, and things are manifesting in a major way! I’m glad you’re my companion on this journey as well! 🙂

Just a followup Sophie. I can’t describe what has changed, but I feel totally different than I did a week ago. I took a risk Monday – stretching outside my comfort zone – that I wouldn’t have done last week. I’m feeling the effects of this growth experience you talked about – I just can’t describe it yet! 🙂

Please comeback and describe when you find the words. I know that finding words is something that you are good at 🙂

I’ll let you know, Sophie – so far I still can’t pin down what has shifted – just that it feels enormous! I’ll keep you posted as the shift illuminates! 🙂

Sophie – I still can’t describe the shift that happened the weekend of the Equinox, but I do know that things look really different on this side. I have been working as a freelance writer for the past six months, writing travel articles. Since I have been working the last several years to overcome a long time writer’s block, this was great news – I could write, and on a deadline.

The work was great, and I looked for more. A couple of weeks ago it occurred to me to nudge the company I was working for, in case they had more work. They were thrilled to hear from me, and got back to me last week with stunning news. They were reworking their marketing strategy for clients – and needed a huge amount of additional writing from me. A fulltime load of work.

I’ve been trying to get used to this for the past week – because it not only brings up how far I’ve come with the writer’s block, but also old issues around success – which came from my Dad pushing me down when I got too successful. I am clear – I’m now a successful freelance writer – a whole new industry for me – and have become a very important and valued part of the company’s plans.

I don’t know if I would have been ready to accept this blessing had not the shift of Equinox weekend happened. That’s how big I know it was. Oh – and when I can’t describe something, can’t find words for it – that’s a huge big clue that the something is really BIG!

So that’s where I am now, Sophie! 🙂

That’s awesome Dan! Great news! And it sounds so exciting.
Thank you for describing your process. I have been going through major transformation also, that’s why I have been quiet here.

Not at all surprising, Sophie, that you’re in a major shift as well! 🙂
