11.11

Healers, light workers and spiritual seekers around the world have declared 11.11 “World Peace Meditation day“.

Different facets of the diamond of life, same core idea: we celebrate peace and the warriors who help us create or maintain that peace.

A few Peace Warriors:

• The heart can only be relaxed and loving when it is protected by a healthy solar plexus
• A woman creates a more relaxed and loving family when her partner is a good provider and protector
• Het Heru and Auset blossom when Herukhti protects them
• Peace in the world can only exist when we have inner peace
• Peace in the world can only exist when we own our own potential for violence
• peace can only exist when we respect our own boundaries and sense of self and at the same time are aware of limitless, infinite Love (that’s the fulcrum point between the two 11)

Peace and warriors are inextricably linked in our earthly reality. And of course every time that we collectively think the same thought at the same time we create an energy  path that becomes easier and easier to tread. In the case of 11.11 we even created a PORTAL. A gateway when it is easy to cross over into another dimension for a day. After all, the end of a major war is the beginning of a lot of hope! It is definitely a portal into the future. Not to mention all the souls who departed during the conflict and guide us in our endeavours towards a more peaceful and loving world.

Peace warriors come in many shapes and they all guide us through the portal towards Oneness between enemies and between the Light side and the shadow side within each one of us.

Have a wonderful 11.11, whichever way you celebrate it! We are all One.

Why are we so emotional when we have a deep Awakening experience?

I know I cry every time. I feels as if it is with joy and relief. The joy of having been found, of having arrived, of being held in the deepest  most tender love you could ever imagine.

I cry because I can feel completely vulnerable in that moment and yet completely safe and eternal.

I’d like to share with you a life-altering event of both energy and intuition.

I had been taking a few art classes and at the time was in a Printmaking class. I had been drawn to creating images of groups of 3 African women in bright colored dresses. One image had one woman washing another’ s feet, while the third woman held a cloth. A second piece had the three woman in a circle holding hands, with a young girl in the center. Anyway, the pieces were somewhat large and one day I found myself putting the linoleum sheet on the floor and kneeling in front of it while I carved the image. Gradually, I realized that there was an energy going through me and that I was not creating this image by myself! It was a profound moment and a confirmation to me that art was my calling.

During this time, I was dealing with the end of my 20 yr. marriage and was seeing a psychologist. I had given her one of the prints from this series as a gift. One day, a psychic friend of hers was visiting her home and asked her to tell me that I have three spiritual guides with me all the time that are African women. I believe that my guides used my art to let me know that they are with me, guiding me, and that I am never alone…even when I felt desperately alone.

Shortly after this time, I decided to follow my intuition and go to art school, received both my BFA and MFA in drawing and painting and started a painting career. All of my time at the easel does not feel like that moment in time, but the understanding that this work is a sacred part of my life stays with me always.

I remember being asked to buy a laptop to remain effective in my MBA program, over 20 years ago. Then work started sending me on monthly “How to use your computer” classes. Meetings and presentations became computerized.

Computers were specialist stuff, something I used out there at work, supported by IT magicians who made no sense to me. About 12 years ago I saved to buy our first family computer and was amazed that my 18 month old daughter intuitively knew how to use the CDROMs I bought for her and her older sister. I considered that first PC to be a luxury item, I delayed its purchase, it was difficult finding an IT magician I could trust to guide me with the decision.

Now my phone is a computer, my car is a computer and the repair man told me yesterday that my washing machine is a computer. At home my family uses 8 laptops and desktops daily. Fixing, upgrading and buying them has become a necessity and something we don’t question any more. Some of my full time Mom girlfriends are IT magicians. Computers are part of my everyday home life.

I believe the same thing is happening with energy healing and energy work.

I remember when you had to explain to everyone you met what Reiki was and when it was difficult to find someone who knew enough about energy work and could guide you through the decision to purchase a course or a good session. Now I meet good healers, Reiki Masters and light workers everywhere I go.

Most people still think of healing as a luxury, something they save for, delay the purchase of, treat themselves to occasionally. But at the same time concepts such as grounding, finding our center, letting go of pain and working with angels have become common place and are part of everyday conversations and TV commercials.

Many have used healers’ and psychics’ services. Most have heard of Reiki and know it makes people better even though they still think that energy workers are magicians. Toddlers are taking to healing modalities like ducklings to water: to them it’s a completely natural way to be well. Slowly but surely energy healing and energy work is moving from ‘out there’ into our everyday home life.

I am quite sure that in about 10 years energy healing will be an every day occurrence, a necessity that we won’t question any more. Something that we will all know how to do at home and we will only call the specialists, the healers, when something big needs fixing or we need help learning something completely new. Just like my cell phone has become a computer, in a few years time everyone will know that their hands, minds and hearts are healing tools!

My boyfriend loves me very well, by which I mean that not only does he love me but he knows me, respects me, wants me to be happy and he protects me well. He also loves me very much. That’s a powerful combination, one that creates a powerful loving INTENTION of what he wants to see happen in my life.

Yesterday we agreed that I had been doing too much all week and really needed to rest today. I had some misgivings about that since I had pre-existing promises, one of them to my kids. This morning after I  spoke with him again and he heard how tired I was, my day was magically re-arranged with two obligations being removed from my day by the other party. In both cases the person who released me from what I was going to do with them is better off with the new arrangement and I get to rest after all (and to write this blog post, which to me is pleasant and playful).

Of course I can’t prove that my beloved’s clear, powerful and loving intention energetically prompted others to create a situation where I could rest. But I know his energy, I know what it feels like when it is around me and I know that’s what happened because I have so often seen MY loving intention change the lives of others. I have always done it for my family. Now I also do it for my clients.

That’s how a good healer works: she focuses her intention on healing, on health, on a positive outcome. We all do it when we wish someone well. There are degrees of intensity and the more we learn to focus our mind and feelings while ignoring the selfish ego, the more we can affect other people’s reality for the better. Healing is a loving intention focused on a pattern of health that we wish, we will into becoming reality.

The experience I had on Friday last week and described in Unity in Love was so deep that it is still resonating with me. I was wondering why I resisted Oneness with others for so long and it occurred to me that a good healer chooses to hold a very high vibration and invites others to join her in that vibration.

So keeping myself separate was a necessity to protect myself while I was in training and strengthening my own higher vibration. Much like you protect a seedling from frost and predators. It had become a habit, then an unnecessary habit. Much like the greenhouse becomes a barrier to the full growth of a tree that needs to be planted outside in the world in order to reach its full potential.

I just remembered something I forgot to describe in yesterday’s post “Unity in Love“.

It was a knowing that it was pointless to try and keep myself separate from others, even in a crowd that I felt might overwhelm me, because at some point I chose, we all chose, to experience life together. And all  I can do is own that decision and accept it in its daily reality.

There was a knowing that we all used to be One and agreed to experience different facets of the the experience of life. So we can specialize, so we can concentrate on certain aspects of what is possible.

There was a very simple, clear peaceful knowing that all I can do is take responsibility for that decision and see where it takes us.

I spent yesterday in a very crowded environment and came home exhausted as usual. Because I want this reaction to stop, I went up and asked why this happened. The answer was: “Because you see yourself as separate from all these people. Keeping your barriers up is what exhausts you”.

When I asked why I see myself as separate I was shown that I want to keep my ‘spiritual’ qualities pure. You know: inner peace, calm, ability to be centered and forgive, all that good stuff. It really IS good stuff and cultivating these qualities daily has improved my life, my family and clients’ lives tremendously. But back to my desire to participate in busy activities with gusto and energy.

I asked to be shown a better way and I remembered sitting outside the gates with my daughter after the event, watching hundreds of people walk past as we were waiting for the rest of our party to appear. And I remembered how much I loved each and every one of the individuals who streamed in front of us. Some I recognized from earlier on in the day. Some looked exhausted, some were holding hands or cuddling sleepy babies. Every one so beautifully human, vulnerable, complex.  I recalled how much deep tenderness  I had  for each one, individually.

Then warmth washed all through my body and as a I relaxed I felt at one with each person in the crowd. I heard very clearly: “You are me and I am you. I am you and you are me.” There was a definite flow of energy, a Oneness that can only be felt and remembered but not really described in words. It turned into Oneness with Divine Love, flowing through each individual and through me. All I could feel and remember was our similarities. All were equal, equally lovable and equally loved.

I am grateful for the healing and asking that this way of being become anchored in every cell of my body so that I can allow it to flow next time I am in a crowd. And that I can always feel the sweet tender humanity in every person I cross path with.
