Ascension Symptoms

by Sophie on November 15, 2010

As we awaken, we raise our vibration. Some people think of it as ascension. As we raise our vibration we need to get rid of the toxins associated with our old way of being. This creates what are commonly called ‘ascension symptoms’.  Ascension symptoms vary tremendously from person to person. So how do you recognize them?

1- ascension symptoms are uncomfortable but you feel even worse when you try to shut them off

2- If you look at ascension symptoms closely, they are challenging you in your weakest areas and dealing with them will make you stronger in the long term, however irritating it is to have to do it now

3- if you embrace ascension symptoms and surrender to them you get better nearly right away, not slowly and gradually as you do with the symptoms of normal illness

4- In spite of the symptoms and while working through them you feel deeply loved and supported by a force that did not use to be there in your life.

WHAT can the symptoms be?

  • headaches
  • nausea
  • extreme unexplainable tiredness
  • tension in or a breaking apart of relationships
  • having to let go, let go and then let go some more
  • unexpected flare up of an old chronic illness
  • old negative emotions you thought you had dealt with comes back to the surface

In the next two posts I will  talk about WHY this happens and HOW to get through it more easily. In the meantime, if you are suffering from ascension symptoms, leave a comment below and share: together we learn and heal!

Hi Sophie — thanks for this post. I recognize several of these symptoms indeed — it’s hard though to know if they are new versions of old symptoms or if they are part of me raising my vibrations. I’m eagerly waiting for your next couple of posts!

Sophie –
Wow, does this describe what I’ve been going through recently! I rarely get headaches, but I’ve had 3 in the past three days. I’ve felt nauseous and as if I was fighting off a virus or something. I was out walking, and I realized there were 6 people who used to be very important to me, but who were no longer in my life. 3 of them were frustrated writers who weren’t pursuing their creativity. Suddenly I knew that their energy was holding me back. As I walked I said “Goodbye, Karen. I release you.” I did it for each of the 6 people. I’ve felt lighter, and my creativity has been in high gear!

A couple of nights ago I had a dream (nightmare) where I was trapped in a horribly dull job in a large office building. I knew my bosses name, but not what he looked like or where he was. I wandered the halls for a while, passing soul dead workers, trying to find him so I could turn in my letter of resignation. Suddenly I said to heck with that, and took an elevator to leave forever! I have PTSD, and I’ve had a flareup of those symptoms – fear, heightened alertness, some kind of flashbacks, and not sure why. I’ve just had to be riding it out. And yet today, after releasing something last night, I feel lighter and more ready to fly!

You did it again Sophie – signalled where I am with your Ascension post! Thank you!
Dan

You are very welcome Dan. I just read the energy out there and report part on the state of the world! I am very happy that it’s useful. 🙂

I have been having hot flashes frequently throughout the day. I don’t think it is menopause as I am too young. Sometimes the heat is accompanied by anxiety and feeling a little nauseous or feeling like I want to jump out of my body. Have there been other reports of similar symptoms?

Yes, awakening symptoms for women often feel like pregnancy or menopausal symptoms because spiritual change affects the endocrine system I think. (this is NOT a medical opinion, just an energy understanding)

Hi Sophie,

Its December and Ive had a rough start, I feel nausea, I cannot lose the weight, feeling depressed and I have no energy at all, very very weak, it feels like my body is shutting down, or just cant cope, ive been sad, wanting to just burst into tears, I also have this on-going throbbing feeling at the back on my head right in the middle just above the end of my neck – I dont believe it is any kind of illness. I had a dream, or an experience this week while asleep, I didnt feel like I was asleep, I felt a tremendous amount of energy flowing through the top of my head, it felt like information being downloaded, I couldnt move my body at all while this was happening but it was not a scary feeling, its like this download couldnt be interupted while in progress, hence why I couldnt move, I remember, while I was lying on my bed my partner was sitting on the floor watching t.v which is correct so I dont no if it was a dream or if it was an experience. I awoke the next day hoping to have a new understanding in life (thinking I just had an awesome experience last night) but no new information…. I also had this same experience a month ago, but while this ‘download’ was happening, an outside force was trying to terrify me…this felt more like a dream.

Just finally came to the realization that the physical stuff Im going through is due to ascending!! This is exciting…but also dang, so hard! I have dermtitis that won’t go away. Cant find what Im allergic to.fatigue, nausea, headaches. vivid scary dreams, tinnitis, faces appear in my mind’s eye while trying to sleep. Light flashes at the corners of my eyes, emotional…and the list goes on. Now I can relax because I know now. The nausea is kinda good cause it makes me not eat…lol. Sugar cravings were bad.. Anyway, glad the Universe let me know what’s going on. Anyone knows how long it will last? Thanks

Bad news, Mercedes, it will never stop.

It’s ruining my life and I want it back. Am now actively seeking a way to ‘shut it off’. Have been through a lot of trauma and chronic illness over the past few years and it must have been these things which triggered it. I never did yoga or was interested in Eastern mysticism. I never did anything to encourage it. I was a Christian but this thing killed my faith.
